My theory is that there's a supernatural force, or perhaps even a faction, behind it all. At first you could be forgiven for dismissing it as a particularly fucked up drug trip, but by 5 and New Dawn you have things like Faith and Joseph projecting themselves and the properties of Bliss are.biologically and chemically unlikely to say the least, and let's not even start on the things that Joseph's bliss-apples do to people. It seems to me that the games since 3 have all featured a much heavier emphasis on things that just can't be explained.

This could mean the FND operates both T-54/55s and T-62s but all T-62s were destroyed (which seems unlikely considering all rusted tank wrecks seen around yara are T-54/55s and one was apparently being auctioned off in Los Tres Santos) the T-62s were decomissioned and phased out of service (which would be odd, considering the fact that the T-62 is the successor to the T-54/55 and has thicker armor, a more powerful main gun, and a more advanced fire control system), or this oversight by the developers. There is an underlying supernatural entity that is behind the last four games.

  • Interestingly in the cinematic title screen, a libertad guerilla can be seen spray painting the word "LIBERTAD!" on the turret of a knocked out tank, when the camera zooms out the tank pictured does indeed resemble a T-62 more closely with its lower profile turret and longer main gun than the tanks seen in game which as previously stated resemble the older T-54/55.
  • However this could just be developer oversight.
  • In the special operation Los Tres Santos, when you get close to the Vehicle Demonstration area, you can hear an announcment from Colonel Simon Cavallo about one of the auction lots, where he announces that one of the lots is a "T-62 Tank" as well as the fact that it is armed with a "115mm cannon, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and a roof mounted 12.7mm heavy machine gun." He is correct in the fact that the T-62 is armed with this caliber gun and machine guns, however it is unknown whether he is refering to the Petrov HS-100 (one of which can be found at the vehicle demonstration area, and more closely resembles the T-54/55) or an actual T-62 not seen in game.
  • The main gun fitted on the Petrov HS-100 more closely resembles a NATO 105mm gun, specifically a shortened version of the French 105mm Modele F1 albeit with some minor differences.
  • It can be assumed that the tank is called the Petrov HS-100, it is assumed the tank is armed with a 100mm main gun just like the T-54/55, the tank it is based on.
  • The tank is a good defense against helicopters and heavy soldiers but can be weakened by explosions and fire.
  • The T-54/55 were a development from the T-44 tank, developed in 1944, yet never saw combat in World War II.
  • The basis tank, T54/55 were built from 1947 to 1951.
  • Its mentioned in game to be a model from 1944.
  • In the T-55As, Radio Operators were absent, and Commanders was doing the radio communications as well as commanding the rest of the crew. In reality, a tank requires multiple crew members to operate, potentially including a Driver, Gunner, Loader, Radio Operator and Commander.
  • Similar to many other video games, the player controls the entire tank.
  • The Gameplay review trailer that took place 28th of May, shows a clip where Dani Rojas are able to control the tank.
  • The base model tank used in the photos is based on the T-55A tank, while the elite version is based on the T-55AM and AMV.

1944 Petrov HS-100 ELITE (Special Forces Tank-Esperanza): black paint with red accents on various parts including th mud guards, drivers hatch, commander's hatch, roadwheels, etc.1944 Petrov HS-100B (Special Forces Tank): black paint.1944 Petrov HS-100 (Standard Army tank): standard FND off white paint.None the less, despite their age, the tanks are a huge advantage for the Yaran military in the war against the Libertad revolutionaries. Since Yara is effectively stuck in time (due to difficulties importing anything into the country) the Yaran military have been forced to rely on obsolete tanks manufactured during the Cold War. Besides the Main gun, it is armed with a coaxial machinegun, and a DShK Machine Gun. The Tank is an armored fighting vehicle used by the Yaran military in Far Cry 6.
